I am a Biologist by day who works in the discovery of novel drugs for the treatment of auto immune diseases. I've previously worked in treating rare disease and cancer. I've been doing this a long time and worked on many programs but still working for my first big hit that truly helps people.
Outside of work I love to read, spend time with my family and I'm also a sports fanatic. I love to play sports, watch them and go to games. That said modern pricing is making it crazy to do that last one.
I'm also interested as a parent in the future of technology and what is happening to learning in the next generation. With mental health issues from social media and learning losses from AI finding the best ways to make sure we don't fail our kids.
Finally I had some minor interest writing about baseball in the early 2000's when baseball analytics were a new thing. I was published on Fangraphs, Hardball Times and ESPN as well as several smaller blogs. I do miss those days, but I don't miss the research and late night writing.
