Bear Blog Carnival: I love my Cinnamon (Disc Golf)
This month's Bear Blog Carnival is "Your Favorite...in your niche hobby". A a fairly avid Disc Golfer who can only play using a forehand I have one disc that is my favorite in all of Disc Golf and that is the Cinnamon made by Clash Discs.
This disc is the perfect disc for my forehand and form. It stays flat and straight and with stats of 9/5/-1.5/2 it almost always ends up straight on aim with a gentle turn and light fade. For those not in the know for disc golf the first number is the speed the disc like to be thrown at which for me a 9 is probably just above my ability, but I seem to still get there. the next number (5) is how well the disc glides, the higher the farther it will glide. The next number (-1.5) is how far the disc turns in the direction thrown (so for my right handed fore hand it goes to the left) and then the final number (2) is how far it fades back from the turn when it starts to slow down.
This disc is great because even for a below average player like myself I almost always know where this disc will end up and can lead to great opportunities to finish the whole at Par or maybe even a long Birdie shout.
This past year due to so much throwing I seem to have tweaked something in my shoulder throwing and I've had to take a break, but I still love the feeling I get when unleashing the Cinnamon and seeing it land right where I wanted.
