Vinyl Records Should Still Contain Digital Download Codes
I've been buying Vinyl Records for the last 10 years or so after not having owned any since the late 90's when I left for college and sold my dad's collection. I had moved on to CD's and soon Napster was a thing and I had everything I ever wanted so I figured it was time to move on.
When I first started buying albums though a few years ago they always included a digital code. It was the start of the streaming services, but most people had a library of music on iTunes and to encourage the purchase of physical media they included a code similar to how Blu Rays in the 2000's included a code to own a digital version as well.
This seems like a missed opportunity to continue to do this and at $30-50 for any modern vinyl it seems like it should be implied they include the code.
Anyway the last 5 albums I bought have not included one and when I realized this as I contemplate moving on from streaming service it made me disappointed they don't.
